Ms. Matich was introduced to the security industry at a very young age. She had always aspired to owning her own company and as a result, following in her father's footsteps, established Security World Network offering professional security officers to businesses throughout the Valley. Ms. Matich has surrounded herself with experienced and talented people with decades of experience in the security field. Continuing education in college seminars in security technology, industrial security training, and her involvement in ASIS International have enhanced her success as well as her talent in public relations.
Ms. Matich serves on the Board of Directors of Silent Witness and Goodwill Industries, she is a past Secretary and Treasurer of the Phoenix Chapter of ASIS, and serves on the ASIS National Private Security Services Council. Ms. Matich was selected as the ASIS Phoenix Chapter's Security Professional of the Year in 2000, she was a regional finalist in the Bank One Working Woman Entrepreneurial Excellence Awards for Customer Care and Client Service, and has won a Community Service Award from the North Phoenix Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, Ms. Matich was one of the top ten finalists for the 2007 Spirit of Enterprise Award through the ASU W.P. Carey School of Business. The 2007 Spirit of Enterprise Award honors outstanding companies that exemplify leadership, commitment, growth and community service.
Tom has more than 17 years of command level management experience as a United States Marshal, Chief Deputy United States Marshal and Military Officer. As a Captain in the U.S. Army, Tom held the positions of Hawk Missile Battery Commander in Germany, and Assistant District Senior Advisor in Vietnam. Tom holds a Master’s of Science Degree in Criminology from Florida State University. He was a Chief Deputy United States Marshal for 15 of his 22 years of service. As Chief Deputy he managed and provided expertise on legal procedures for a wide variety of law enforcement programs that included: the Debtor Program, Forfeiture Program, and Enforcement (Fugitive) Program. He established and maintained security programs for the federal courthouses utilizing a cadre of contract security officers. He managed and supervised complex fugitive investigations; high threat, highly sensitive trials; transport and protection of high-risk prisoners and witnesses. As Assistant Vice President for corporate security at JPMorgan Chase he managed all security operations; supervised the design and construction of a new security system. He established and implemented the physical security standards and managed the contract security force for various sites.
Tom owned a small Private Investigation and Security Company for several years which provided a wide array of security and investigative services to clients. As Chief Investigator for the Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community he managed investigations of alleged gaming violations to ensure regulatory compliance with Federal, State, and community Ordinances. His memberships include; ASIS, National sheriffs association, Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association, New England Chiefs of Police Association.
